The man that had all the hits that one summer and all the bummers taking hits another summer is now out of jail.  Should we fear for our lives or will Earl come to comfort our souls now?

When he got locked up in 2009, DMX served 90 days last year after cutting a deal on drug possession and animal cruelty charges in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Flight attendant jumps out of plane, enough is enough

Steven Slater was in the flight air travel game for twenty years when earlier this week he decided, after dealing with a difficult passenger cursing him out, to get out of the game.    Coming in from Pittsburg, a passenger stood up too early to get luggage out of the overhead and when Steven asked the man to stop.  Walking over he got to the passenger and was clocked by the luggage coming out of the overhead.  Slater asked the man to appologize and he recieved  some explitives instead.  At which point slater used the public annoucement system to curse out the aforementioned passenger.  Back in the cabin he grabbed a beer from the beverage cart and released the inflatable emergency shoot and slid out, ran to his car, and booked it to his home in Queens.  Authorities arrived to arrest Slater charged with felony counts of criminal mischeif and reckless endangerment.

About the artists:

Ozuma Kaname

Born in Niigata, Japan in 1939, Ozuma Kaname began studying traditional
Japanese painting under his uncle, artist Sakai Soushi, from a young age.
Moving to Tokyo at the age of 18, he trained as an art dealer while working
at a printing company. Afterwards, he moved on to the publishing industry
where he illustrated tattoos. The majority of his work continues to be
tattoo-related along with other traditional Japanese themes; and often
serves as a source of inspiration for master tattooist Horiyoshi III, whose
clients in turn, are often depicted in Ozuma’s paintings.

Horiyoshi III

Born Yoshihito Nakano in 1946, Horiyoshi III is the second tattooist to be bestowed the honorific title—the tattooist affixation “Hori” means engrave—in a line started by his master, the legendary tattoo artist Yoshitsugu Muramatsu, or Shodai Horiyoshi of Yokohama (Muramatsu went on to dub his son Horiyoshi II, and later Nakano was named Horiyoshi III).
His images are classical Japanese woodblock print motifs such as the phoenix, dragon, snakes, tigers, samurai warriors, Buddhist gods to name a few as well as background images of waves, clouds and various flowers. Among Horiyoshi III’s published works are 36 Ghosts, 108 Heroes of the Suikoden, 100 Demons, and The Namakubi (severed heads), 100 Dragons and 58 Warriors. Horiyoshi?s artistic genius and generosity of spirit have had a defining impact on the world of tattooing, taking it to new levels in this new century.

For Immediate Release

New York based artist, Yuriko Katori utilizes her master’s degree in
Illustration as Visual Essay to skim the surface of Art Nouveau influence. Pencil, Watercolor, Charcoal and Paper intermingle to host elegant expressions of feminine subtlety.
Katori’s work creates a private space that ripples with personal eccentricity, allowing the viewer to meditate upon otherwise harrowing subjects. Sexuality, confusion, hunger and isolation are rendered humane with delicate precision.
Katori’s current work, “the 1,000 pie” coaxes the gentle bond of innocence and simple drawing by way of visual storytelling.

“Hold it Tight” showcases Katori’s current ruminations on the systematic eccentricities of “normal” daily routine. With works in
various mediums from pencil to oil to storytelling and picturebooks,
Katori places herself into a peculiar universe where societal laws are dissected and quietly questioned.
